In Pennsylvania, there is no law which requires you to purchase a vault or outer burial container. That requirement comes from the cemeteries themselves. All vaults serve the same purpose; the preference is that of the individual.
Lined Vaults
Guardian vaults: wire reinforced concrete;
seamless plastic lining under either bronze, copper or stainless
steel; oval shaped tongue and groove sealed lid; nameplate and
emblem.

Porcelite vaults: wire reinforced concrete;
seamless fiberglass lining; oval shaped tongue and groove sealed
lid; nameplate and emblem.

Royal Imperial vaults: wire reinforced
concrete; seamless plastic lining; oval shaped tongue and groove
sealed lid; nameplate and emblem.

Cardinal Outer Burial Containers: wire
reinforced concrete; oval shaped tongue and groove sealed lid;
nameplate and emblem.

Flat Top Outer Burial Containers: wire
reinforced concrete; flat sealed lid.

Liner Outer Burial Containers: (not shown) wire reinforced concrete; unsealed flat lid. (meets all requirements of cemeteries)
